Where the beach meets the rice fields

Keramas sits between the coast road and the rice fields of Blahbatuh. It is quieter than Sanur, yet close enough to reach the south of Bali by car.

The beach

Black sand and a right-hand reef

Keramas Beach has dark volcanic sand and a fast right-hand wave over the reef. It has hosted international surf contests and suits experienced surfers, so swimmers should check the conditions first.
